Status quo
Although Oetiker established a global lean manufacturing culture early on and implemented basic methods such as 5S and Total Productive Maintenance at all production sites, the complete digitization of the operations organization did not take place.

Challenges

On the process side, there was the problem of a non-existent single point of truth for document management, maintenance planning and documentation.
