What does work safety mean?

The term work safety refers to measures and procedures aimed at protecting the health and safety of employees in the workplace and preventing accidents or damage to health. Ensuring work safety so that occupations can be performed without risk is a central objective of occupational safety. The Arbeitsschutzgesetz (ArbSchG) serves as the legal basis for occupational safety.
